Fire Prevention
The Fire Prevention Committee is a sub committee of the Broward County Fire Chief's Association. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 13:30 hours (1:30 PM) at the Broward Emergency Management Center in Plantation. All Broward County municipal Fire Marshals are encouraged to attend and participate. We also have the Broward County School Board, the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals, and Broward College actively represented.
Meetings typically last approximately ninety (90) minutes and may include a guest speaker, or an advertised topic for discussion and debate. All meetings have an agenda, including standing committee reports, and the identified topic or issue to be addressed.
Fire Inspectors Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are applied for each meeting attended. To be included in the email notifications related to committee activity contact Chief John Preston at johnp@oaklandparkfl.org
