The Paul Rumbaut Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Paul’s family and friends shortly after his passing on March 28, 2007 in honor of his life and commitment to helping others. Paul worked hard to become a firefighter and paramedic. His dream became reality on January 22, 2007 with Tamarac Fire Rescue Department. Prior to coming to Tamarac Fire Rescue, Paul worked for Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood as a paramedic. He was known for his love and commitment to the profession.
The intent of the Paul Rumbaut Paramedic Scholarship Fund is to annually award up to two selected candidates with a grant of up to $ 600.00 for each school term (based on full-time attendance). These candidates must demonstrate their desire, interest and commitment toward becoming a paramedic.
